Booking Terms and Conditions
THE BOOKING
Bookings and subsequent contracts shall be deemed to have been concluded in Arusha, Tanzania and shall be interpreted according to the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
To confirm and secure the bookings, you are supposed to deposit an amount equal to 30% of the total cost, and the remaining to be settled 2-weeks before arrival. This deposit forms part of the payment for the trip and shall be offset to the total amount charged to the client/agent.
You can pay also half the amount as deposit and the remaining you pay here upon arrive by cash, if it will be so convenient for you to travel by cash.
We also provide an online payment system through our website, transaction charges is upon clients
BOOKING AMENDMENTS
You will be required to give detailed information about arrival and departure date, other activities that you would like to have here like volunteering, number of days you will stay and others.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations is free one month before the arrival date, and it will cost 20% of the total deposit if it is done within 2 weeks before arrival
LUGGAGE
At any time, all baggage and personal effects are at the client’s responsibility and the Company does not accept any liability for any loss or damage of any personal effects, howsoever arising.
However our office will be responsible to take care of all luggage that are left on our hands, also during hiking days the luggage burden is on our responsibility.
AUTHORITY ON TOUR
The decisions of the Company´s guide/driver on tour shall at all times be final and binding.
Clients are highly requested to comply with the country’s law, terms and regulations.
MARKETING
The Company reserves the right to use any photographs and videos taken during tours for marketing or any other advertising material.
FORCE MAJEURE
Unforeseen phenomena like war, catastrophic, disease break-down or bad weather that may affect the activities booked to take place, the Company shall not be held liable in any way for any of these possible occurrences or any consequences, which may arise as a result of these.
PRICE CHANGES
Price changes every fiscal year after budget been announced. In Tanzania fiscal year starts 01 July and ends 30 June. Any changes in price that will be raised by the government you will be notified, also you we will update from our price list in the website.
We accept your bookings under the following terms and conditions:
1. By transferring 30% of the total amount as a confirmation amount. After receipt Josmac Tours & Arts will send you a confirmation of this which also serves as the final confirmation. The other 70% has to be paid in cash in US dollars when arriving in Tanzania. A representative of Josmac Tours & Arts shall collect this amount and will hand over a receipt. OR
2. By transferring the total amount of the trip to our bank account after discussion of the trip and confirmation. When received will send you a scanned receipt showing the total amount paid.
Note: Most banks are able to transfer money straight into our account, but it depends on your type of bank.
Cancellation
• You can cancel your holiday until 4 weeks before leaving. In case of a (down) payment Josmac Tours & Arts will make a restitution refund of this amount less the transferring costs.
• When canceling at less than 4 weeks before leaving, the total down payment-amount (20%) will be withheld. In case of full payment 80% will be refunded.
• When not showing up at the date of departure without letting Josmac Tours & Arts know first, total payment will be withheld.
Please note: These payment and cancellation conditions are in general terms. In individual cases or in special circumstances Josmac Tours & Arts reserves the right to amend or cancel these conditions.
