Best Time to Climb Mount Kilimanjaro via Marangu Route

The best time to climb Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route is during the dry seasons when the weather is more stable and trekking conditions are safer. The most recommended periods are from January to March and June to October. During these months, the skies are usually clear, rainfall is minimal, and the trails are less slippery, making the climb more comfortable and enjoyable. You also get the best mountain views, especially at sunrise and above the cloud line, which enhances the overall experience of the journey.
The months from June to October are considered the peak climbing season because of excellent weather conditions and high visibility, although the trails can be busier with other climbers. The January to March period is slightly quieter, offering a more peaceful experience with colder temperatures and a higher chance of snow at the summit. It is best to avoid the rainy seasons, especially from April to May (long rains) and November (short rains),
