Best Time for an 11-Day Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro Trekking Adventure

The best time for an 11-day Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro trekking adventure is generally during Tanzania’s dry seasons from June to October and January to early March. These periods typically offer drier trails, clearer skies, and favorable conditions for mountain trekking.

June to October is especially popular because of the generally stable weather and excellent visibility. January and February are also good months for trekking, with warmer conditions and good opportunities for clear mountain views.

Trekking is possible outside these periods, but the long rains from March to May and the short rains around November can make trails wetter and more challenging. For travelers prioritizing comfortable trekking conditions and better visibility, the dry seasons are the preferred choice.
